The Kodiaks played one of their best games of the season Saturday night, but came up short losing 5-2 to North Van at the Harry Jerome Rec Centre.
Aldergrove came to play Saturday night and dominated the first period outshooting the Pack 18-5. But North Van struck first taking the lead on the powerplay before the Bears tied it up with just over two minutes left in the frame.
The home squad scored just 1:15 into the second, but the Kodiaks kept up the pace in period two outshooting North Vancouver 11-5 and tied it up going into the third period even at 2.
The third period was more of the same with Aldergrove outshooting the Pack 14-9, but the visitors gave up three goals on just nine shots with a great effort resulting in a 5-2 loss.
The Bears have fallen into sole possession of fourth place, two points behind the Flames.
