The Kodiaks finished off their season on a winning note taking two points from the Richmond Sockeyes Wednesday night at home.
Richmond is in a race with the Steelers for second place in the Shaw Conference and it showed in the first frame with the Sockeyes tripling the Kodiaks 15-5 in shots. However neither team managed a goal and the teams headed into the second knotted at zeros.
The Bears picked up their game a bit in period-two being outshot 11-10 but gave up the only goal of the stanza to trail by one after two.
Aldergrove got on the board at 3:04 of the third period to tie the game and scored on the powerplay ten minutes later to take a 2-1 lead. The Kodiaks put it away in the last minute scoring an empty net goal for the 3-1 win.
