The Bears pulled into sole possession of second place in the conference Wednesday night at home, defeating the Pilots 4-2.
The Kodiaks got off to a slow start in this one being outshot 14-6 in the first, but Bears' goaltender Dawson Rodin shut the door keeping it a zeros after one.
Abby scored 4:50 into the second period to draw first blood and take a one-goal lead. However the Bears responded on the powerplay with less than four minutes left in the frame, and struck again less than two minutes later to take a one-goal lead into the third.
Cameron Davitt extended the Kodiaks lead to 3-1, 3:45 into the final frame. Abby scored again to move within one but Brandon Dolby scored his second of the game into an empty Abby net to make the final 4-2.
