The Kodiaks lost their fifth game in a row on Wednesday night bowing out to the Steelers 2-1 in OT.

Aldergrove got out of the gate quickly in this one scoring at 1:21 of the first frame and outshooting the Steelers 13-6.

The second period was closer with both teams having 11 shots, but Grandview scored the only goal of the period to even it up at aces.

The third tightened up with both teams hitting the shot clock seven times, but neither team hitting the scoreboard, necessitating overtime.

The Steelers ended it at 2:42 of the first OT handing the Kodiaks the 3-2 overtime loss.

Shots favoured Aldergrove 33-27.

Powerplay chances favoured the Steelers a lopsided 8-1. Both team were perfect on the PP.

Aaron Markin was named the first star, and Jamieson Ree was named third star. The Kodiaks' lone goal was scored by William Mann, assisted by Maximilian Fritz.
